And you have wondered: What is the Most Attractive to Miami City?
Then, you can’t miss this blog, where I present some of the most unexpected factors of Miami. Those who make it irresistible to invest is this wonderful city
Miami is the 3rd most popular city in the eastern and the seventh-largest city in the country -Miami is a city of warm weather, pool parties, famous beaches, and exciting nightlife.
This lifestyle attracts thousands of residents and tourists every year. According to US Census Bureau, more than 40,000 people move to Miami every year from abroad. These are some of the reasons:
There are many things that make Miami an attractive city for tourists and investors. Do you want to know what is the most attractive to Miami city. Don’t miss this top ten!
When you relocate to Miami, do not be surprised when all your friends and family want to visit your new home!
According to the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, in 2018, a record of 23 million tourists visited Miami!
In 2021, the recovering tourism industry played a massive role in the city’s economy. While it can be great for local businesses, residents will have to get used to crowds of visitors in their city!
Since Miami is a hotspot for its warm weather and party environment, the city is busy the whole year!
On the positive side, Florida boasts no-state income tax! You will be able to buy things at a reasonable price – food, car rentals, and real estate without breaking the bank.
Depending on the area of the city you decide to buy a home, housing prices can also be affordable. Again, this is considering or comparing big cities. By the way, every month I do a market update with all the trends and numbers of Miami’s housing market. Take a look here after watching this video.
I do recommend you find a job first. To live comfortably in Miami, you should be making over $75,000 a year.
However, the rental housing market has increased so much in the last 2 years, that we have been seeing a 20%, 30%, and even 40% increase in certain areas in Miami Dade.
Right now, the median rent for a one-bedroom apartment is about $2,500 a month. While the cost of living may be affordable for some, job payment in the city is low. Hopefully, with more businesses relocating to Miami change this.
According to miamidadematters.org , over 70% of the residents in Miami speak Spanish. Speaking Spanish in Miami could have a huge benefit, it might be worth knowing a word or two.
Even a few simple phrases may help you. Being bilingual is a huge benefit in all senses!
Even though you can find over 16 great beaches to choose from in Miami, with crystal blue waters and white sand, there is so much more to enjoy.
To start with, if you like to live in a place having the biggest cruise port in the world because you love to cruise, then Miami is definitely for you. In Miami, you can visit different special places to go for entertainment like the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables, and the Zoo Miami.
If you are a sports lover, Miami broke a world record this year being Miami the only city in the world to have all the top 5 major sports and formula 1.
Additionally, you have places and cosmopolitan lifestyles like Wynwood, Miami’s Design District, Downtown Miami, Brickell which is named the Manhattan of the South, and Coconut Grove to mention some and without even talking about all the amazing events throughout the year that happens here in Miami. Indeed, so much to enjoy.
If you are prone to being late, you are in luck because in Miami, being late means that you are, in fact, on time!
Miami is a big city, and it has complex traffic. Locals barely ever make it anywhere on time!
So when you are meeting someone for dinner, do not be surprised if they are running late! Thanks to the residents running late, businesses do as well! Many restaurants, bars, and popular tourist attractions stay open later than they would in other cities.
Remember these two words – Happy hour!
Miami is perhaps the most renowned city in the world for its party and nightlife scene. The city is totally for you if you love dance halls, private lounges, hip rooftop bars, and hot night clubs like Club Space and E11EVEN.
There is always a party to visit at any hour of the day and a club to dance the night away at. Clubs are both the place to have fun and the perfect spot to meet new people.
Your relocation will go much easier if you become a part of this Miami tradition. Thanks to the nightlife scene being so big, many bars and nightclubs stay open until five in the morning! I totally recommend checking out No. 3 Social, Basement Miami Beach, and Sweet Liberty.
Get ready to crank the air conditioning!
Much like the whole of Florida, Miami is hot. With a tropical climate slash rainy season. Expect lots of heat and humidity when moving to the area.
I would say that Miami is a dream destination for warm weather lovers like me, an island girl, coming from Puerto Rico, since the winters are so short. Do we really have winters here? On average, January is the coldest month if you can even call it cold, with an average high temperature of 76 degrees and a low of 63 degrees!
The downside of this fantastic weather is that Miami is prone to flooding and hurricanes.
Don’t get surprised if you are waking up with a beautiful sun and by the time you get into the car it is dark, cloudy or the rainfall is not normal. In just a matter of minutes the weather changes in Miami during the rainy season.
The rainy season goes from June through September and the hurricane season goes from June 1st through November 30th. If you choose to purchase real estate close to the water, do not underestimate good homeowners insurance and flood insurance.
Fashion is Miami’s middle name. The people of Miami are good-looking and also well dressed. Being an international fashion capital, Miami keeps setting and inspiring trends in the world!
It’s a well-known and beloved destination for designers, models, and fashion influencers – so set your own trends or be moved by looks on the streets and at the beach!
The Magic City is also the destination for some of the most recognized fashion events presenting local and worldwide famous designers. Miami Fashion Week, and Miami Swim Week – these are the most highly anticipated events in the city for the fashion industry.
If you are a fashionista at heart, you will love shopping at the one-of-a-kind boutiques and luxurious shops. Check out some of the Miami upscale shops and high-end boutiques – Miami Design District, Bal Harbour Shops, and Brickell City Centre for all of your designer desires.
Miami is indeed at the vanguard of the art scene! Gifted artists, galleries, and exhibits flourish in this city of beaches and high-rises. The modern art scene can be admired in all corners of Miami – from South Beach, Wynwood to the Design District. After becoming a popular art destination, the culture of Miami today can be described as calm and unique.
Bringing in thousands of tourists every year, Miami admires and celebrates the masterpieces of modern artists from all over the world. Particularly, I must mention Art Basal in Miami Beach which has become an annual stop for artists and collectors.
With so much international influence, vivid flavors, and culturally inspired dishes is what makes the food in Miami so great. Since fresh restaurants seem to be popping up in the city every day like Sexy Fish in Brickell, there is always something different for any gourmet to enjoy.
When in Miami, grab a bite of the classic Cuban Sandwich with a cup of coffee at Enriqueta’s Sandwich Shop and some great restaurants that I could mention are Mandolin Aegean Bistro, Joe’s Stone Crab, KYU, or Taquiza in North Miami for those looking for great Mexican food.
