The fans and not fans were so excited, the streets were filled with so much party.
For the first time since 1984, Formula 1 hosted two major awards in the United States. Everything was high, in fact, according to Motorsport.com had not seen level of commitment from sponsors, activities, hospitality requests, celebrity requests in a grand prize. And not only that, important figures of the sport made very positive comments. McLaren commented that in his six years at the helm this award has looked a lot like the Super Bowl, which is the biggest event of the year.
So, we can proudly say that Miami spoke to the world. We were full house, crowded hotels, full capacity restaurants and more.
The award was not the only attraction, there were other incredible activities prepared for this historic event.
The event lasted for 3 days, with 2 days of previous celebration and the cheapest ticket was worth $300 for Friday rehearsal day. Ticket prices range from Grandstand with Fountain View, Crypto.com Terrace, Club 72 and General Admission.
A world event was held on the track drawn and created by the British company Apex Circuit Design, for this magnificent award.
The track has 5.4 kilometers of extension. Made in an urban environment located in the area of Miami Gardens, around the Hard Rock Stadium, where Miami Dolphins of the NFL play frequently.
There is no precedent in the urban circuit of Miami. It will be the first grand prize in history; and the eleventh different American track that hosts a Formula 1 race. This track will be used until 2031.
The history in Miami is full of glory and repeats itself after so many decades.
The first Formula One Grand Prix was held on 12 December 1959 at the Sebring Floridian circuit. Where Australian Jack Brabham won the first of his three world championships.
In this race, it is recorded that Branham ran out of fuel in the middle of the race. Then, got out of the car and began to push him up the hill until crossing the finish line, in fourth position. In this way he Added the necessary points to proclaim himself world champion, becoming the first Australian to do so.
Max Verstappen The reigning world champion took his second win in succession and third for the season.
Verstappen said:
“It was an incredible Grand Prix, very physical as well. “I think we kept it exciting until the end. I’m incredibly happy with winning here in Miami, it was an incredible Sunday for us.”
“I hadn’t done a start all weekend because of the troubles, but I had a decent launch. And I saw the opportunity to go around the outside, and it worked really well. I saw Charles was struggling a bit with his right front tire, and I went for it, and that really made my race. I was not very happy when the safety car came out, but these things have helped me in the past, so I can’t really complain.”
