Today I am going to talk about some reasons you might hate living here in Miami. In the next couple of weeks, I will be uploading 5 reasons that I love about living in Miami. Like everything, there are always pros and cons to living in a city.
(Tropical Climate) Let’s talk a little about the weather. I know I mentioned the heat and the humid before but I think that is a completely different point because sometimes could be very hot for some. So, in Miami, we have a nearly tropical climate as you are aware.
Now, if you like 4 stations or seasons, Miami is not your place and you will hate it in here. Some people can’t live without four stations. If you are a person that doesn’t like been in summer for almost the whole year, then this is not for you. Of course, we do have our rainy season along with the hurricane season which starts in June through November.
Miami receives about 60 inches of rain annually. So if you don’t like rain or if you don’t like to live in a city with hurricane possible path, then Miami is not for you.
Some people could consider the city as a monotonous landscape. There are no mountains or hills. Its highest point in the state is, Britton Hill, is only 345 feet (105 m) above sea level. This makes it the lowest high point of any U.S. state. So yes, if you love mountains, you will hate it here.
If you like absolutely quiet places, then Miami Dade is not your place. Miami does have so many places to go and things to do at any time, that it’s impossible to get bored but also, people consider is overpopulated. Additionally, Miami is the Gateway to the Americas and the Capital of Latin America. It does have one of the busiest airports that connect to too many destinations and the Port of Miami, is the busiest cruise port in the world. So yeah, will always have noise and it won’t be your place.
Miami is such a unique place. People from all over the world come here either for vacations, to live, or because of job/business purposes. We are seeing people coming from NY, CA, IL, MN, and pretty much from cold-weather states moving to South Florida. I am not originally from Miami but I have been living here for the last 9 years and I have definitely seen some evolution or changes during those years. Anyway, those are the top 5 reasons why people might hate living in Miami.
