The Holidays are on the corner and even though in South Florida is summer year-round, we still have our traditions, but our own particular traditions for the holidays from a 700-ton Christmas tree made of sand to a 12 mile holiday boat parade, that give Christmas time a unique vibe. If you are still looking for what to do, where to take your family or go with your friends, keep reading as I am going to share with you some of the many holiday events in Miami Dade.
If you haven’t made plans for this month, here are some of the best events to be held in Miami to share and enjoy with friends, family and your children.
Miami shines simply a bit brighter because the season begins, as a result of the NightGarden is back. Expect technicolor mazes, scavenger hunts led by virtual fairies, glowing dandelion fields, and, yes, the infamous talking tree. The spectacular outside lights show at Fairchild Tropical Garden in Coral Gables came back after a year’s hiatus because of the pandemic with around 125,000 lights, food vendors, interactive adventures.
Now through January 2, 2022. Hours are 6pm to 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 6pm to 11pm Friday and Saturday.

In 2021, after 37 years at Tropical Park, Santa’s Enchanted Forest is moving to Hialeah Park. Folks can expect to find much of the original Santa’s reimagined at its new home, 100 East 32nd Street, including millions of twinkling lights, lots of carnival rides and only-in-Miami experiences.

Get in the holiday spirit by surrounding yourself with nearly a million bright, animal-shaped lights draped throughout Zoo Miami.
Families can stroll through the park and enjoy carousel rides and nightly carollers, and glimpse the twinkling displays

Downtown Doral Holiday Fest is Miami’s newest family-friendly arts experience this holiday season. The festival is presented by the Downtown Doral Culture and Arts Foundation.
Doral LIVE, a month-long performing arts festival open to the public, is the perfect pairing with a family-friendly tour of the nearby LUX artwork circuit. With more than a dozen performances over three weekends, the series will feature a spectacular diversity of national touring artists and South Florida’s most celebrated cultural organizations.
